In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
